Common Craft Explanations in plain English

If you are trying to explain why wikis are relevant, why blogs are interesting, or why RSS can be really useful you could take a look at the Commoncraft productions. They are short, visually effective and have that important pedagogical factor, a sense of fun.

On the Commoncraft show you can find a wide variety of web 2.0 tools explained, including social bookmarking, wikis, RSS, blogs, and online photo sharing. There are even more videos on their Client productions page and even here some of these are directly relevant to educational users.

Most, if not all, of these videos are available on Youtube – search for ”commoncraft”. Personally I think any teacher, or anyone who works with information, should look at some of these productions just to get inspiration and tips – they are just so good!
